Weddings & Holy Unions
At St. Luke’s Community church, we perform both legal Weddings for male/female couples and Holy Unions for same-gender couples. Both Rites represent the spiritual joining of two persons in a fitting manner by a duly authorized clergy person. Both are services of celebration and serve as a time for asking God's blessing on your relationship, as well as an opportunity for family and friends to witness and share in your vows of commitment to one another.
Please note: Currently, only marriages between opposite-gender couples are legally recognized by the State of Florida.
We invite you to share with us the blessing of your relationship and of your abiding love by celebrating it here with us!

Things to Consider

A couple must be in a relationship for a minimum of six (6) months prior to planning your service with St. Luke's Community Church.

A minimum of 2 interviews with the couple is required with the first being 6 weeks prior to the date of the ceremony.

The date of the Holy Union / Matrimony must be provided in advance due to the schedules of the church and the pastor. (A $50.00 deposit is required to hold your date.)

St. Luke's Community Church offers a chemical-free and scent-free environment. There is a designated smoking area. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. Due to the nature of increasingly asthmatic conditions, we ask if at all possible, to have your event scent-free.

All rooms, chairs and tables must be returned to their original state. All trash must be bagged and placed in appropriate place outside, and cleaning must be done as necessary.

You are not required to use the services of church staff and may use your own musicians, photographers, bakers, decorators, florists, ASL interpreters, etc. Consult the church office for a list of additional vendors. Should you choose someone other than the church pastor to officiate, the church pastor must be present to witness the service.

It is possible to arrange to have a Holy Union / Matrimony at other venues or locations.

You may consider having security during your ceremony. St. Luke's Community Church is not responsible for any damages incurred, but will gladly furnish you with security information.

A signed Hold Harmless Agreement is required for all events at St. Luke’s Community Church.

Hourly rate for Audio Tech and Musicians are for Rehearsal and Events separatly (2 hr min for rehearsal and min for event)
• Fees are subject to change without notice.
• A cancellation fee of $50.00 or 20% may be imposed.
• All fees are to be paid in full no later than 72 hours prior to ceremony.
• Members of the church receive special consideration on fees and the pastor should be consulted regarding this matter.
